Mark Herrmann graduated from Drexel University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Mr. Herrmann’s studies included a concentration in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering. He previously attended Johns Hopkins University, in Baltimore, Maryland.

Mr. Herrmann is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New Jersey, a Certified Municipal Engineer by the New Jersey Municipal Engineering Institute, and a Certified Construction Reviewer in the State of Delaware.

Mr. Herrmann began his employment with Key Engineers, Inc. in 2002 as a designer. His current responsibilities include the design of stormwater management, sanitary sewer, and water distribution systems, and pump stations. As a supervisor of public works projects, he performs engineering, preparation of construction plans, specifications, and bid documents, and construction management. Mr. Herrmann also performs hydrologic analyses, including floodplain studies, dam break analysis and inundation studies, and groundwater modeling. He has been instrumental in the design of a large number of major residential subdivisions, retail/commercial establishments and industrial and institutional facilities. Mr. Herrmann performs land surveying duties, which include outbound resolution, construction stakeout calculations, data collection and post processing. Mr. Herrmann is trained to perform wetland delineations, soil classification, and soil testing.

Mr. Herrmann has attended multiple seminars on Wetland Identification and Delineation and Soil Analysis, Stormwater Management Rules and Regulations, Sustainability and Green Building Design, Hydrology, and Hydraulics. He is very experienced with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Freshwater Wetlands Protection Act Rules and Flood Hazard Area Control Act Rules, and is responsible for the preparation of permit applications. Mr. Herrmann also assists in ensuring compliance with the New Jersey Residential Site Improvement Standards and all municipal and county ordinances.

Mr. Herrmann supervises the computer aided drafting and design (CADD) department and is responsible for guiding the firm into the use of the latest software technology including AutoDesk Civil 3D and Map 3D. He is also directly responsible for establishing drafting policies, procedures and standards. In addition, Mr. Herrmann oversees the daily operation of the computer network, including server management and hardware and software maintenance.

Mr. Herrmann is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, New Jersey Society of Professional Engineers, New Jersey Society of Municipal Engineers, New Jersey Society of Professional Land Surveyors, Chi Epsilon (National Civil Engineering Honor Society) and American Mensa, Delaware Valley Chapter.
